TRAILS Forum Announcement - Important Changes April 14, 2025

Dear TRAILS Colleagues,

We just received communication from Wix that they are transitioning their current Wix Forum configuration, to a new Wix Groups configuration. This change is happening quickly, with a deadline in May to have the switch made.  This information was not shared with Wix customers as we were making the initial transition to the Wix Forum. With this newly announced information, the Website Group will need to re-evaluate the viability and features of the new Wix Groups option as a forum for TRAILS. To evaluate this new Groups format, we will need to pause use of the new forum.

 

We are requesting that everyone move all TRAILS communication back to the original discourse forum (https://discourse.trailsmt.org/) immediately. Pamela will be moving relevant posts on the new forum back to the old forum. Access to the new forum will be temporarily hidden from the website on Friday, April 18. Site…

Please note, the "old" TRAILS forum has now been set to read-only.


You can still browse any old posts, however, new actions such as creating posts or replying to a post are disabled.


Please reach out to any member of the TRAILS Web Committee if you have questions (Pamela, Nathan, Ashlynn, Hannah).

Hi Shelley! It looks like log in is disabled while the sites in read only. Let me investigate if this can be changed! If someone needs into the old forum soon, I can turn off read only as well!

Dear TRAILS Members, We are excited to provide a virtual, one-day, in-house workshop just for TRAILS members. The training is designed to focus on homegrown learning, localized content and practical training tailored to meet our community's needs.

  • MT Legislative Update: Hear from our past and current MLA Presidents about recent Montana legislative developments.

  • Learn about policies for responsible use of AI and for Collection Development: These are especially important topics in light of the current technological, legal, and financial climates.
